Project Updates for October
It's hard to believe that it's already October! Once a month I want to take the time to do a sort of "State of the Union" address, with progress on my original creative projects. Eventually I'll install a progress bar on the side of my blog a la Brandon Sanderson because I like graphs and stuff.
Some project updates:
- Free short stories will be posted to this blog for funsies. For September I posted "Dust," which was written a couple years ago for some sci fi magazines. This month I'm writing "Banana Trees," a horror story about the Filipino manananngal, for Halloween.
- On Twitter, Facebook and Instagram I'll be participating in Inktober, a daily inking challenge, to improve my art and gear myself up Displaced.
- Numinous is being read by beta readers. In between comments, I'm finally going through the manuscript to insert much-needed research.
- Displaced is still in the pre-production stage. The original story was written for the 2014 National Novel Writing Month, and is being rewritten to accommodate a webcomic format.
- Outlining a story for NaNoWriMo 2016: a food memoir written by a retired superhero, who reflects on his super career through the magical power of food. Be sure to add me as a writing buddy!
