"Distract the Dog" Grilled Chicken

This week's recipe,"Distract the Neighbors" grilled chicken, distracted the dog more than the neighbors.

Not like Indie needed an invitation.

A straightforward recipe, "Distract the Neighbors" grilled chicken requires a simple marinade of lemon juice, olive oil, rosemary and a few other spices. It didn't take too long to prepare the marinade. In fact, the hardest part of this recipe was making sure the chicken was cooked on the griddle.

In this short story, Diana's relatives annoy the neighbors by grilling chicken not only in the front yard--but in the snow. While we don't have snow here at any time of the year, and since our grill wasn't working, I cooked the chicken on our stove griddle. A side of homemade French Fries and a Caesar Salad was served alongside the distracting chicken.

Now, our dog Indie, like any sensible dog, follows us closely whenever we are in the kitchen. A living vacuum cleaner, ready to scoop up any wayward crumbs or fallen food at a moment's notice. I cannot possibly imagine how tempting this chicken--just inches away--was to Indie. Better luck next time, Indiana!
